Who Will be the Best Dressed Men at The Oscars?

george-clooney-black-tie-fashionThe 84th annual Oscar awards are set to take place on February 26th, but it’s fair to say that Hollywood is abuzz with excitement already, which isn’t likely to slow down at all this weekend. The nominations have been announced, and it’s anyone’s guess as to who will win the awards that are set to be given out. With such an impressive group of nominees, however, it should come as no surprise if the evening is rife with fashion-forward individuals setting out to look their best. The following are five of the best-dressed male Oscar nominees for 2012, all of whom will surely be wearing their finest ensembles when stepping out onto the red carpet.

Brad Pitt
Brad Pitt has been nominated for the award of “Best Actor in a Leading Role” for his part in “Moneyball,” one of the most successful films of the year. Pitt is a veritable fashion icon, and lends his unique, sophisticated style to all of the films he stars in. Pitt has been known to rock everything from tuxedos to trench coats on the red carpet, so there’s no telling what he’ll be wearing this year. One thing’s for sure, though; he’ll definitely be amongst the best dressed individuals at the awards.

Gary Oldman
Gary Oldman has been a Hollywood mainstay for many years, and has been nominated for “Best Actor in a Leading Role” for his work in “Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.” Oldman likes to wear crisp, dark suits when walking the red carpet, often accessorizing with black more than anything else; he’s a big fan of black ties with subtle grey stripes. Finished off with his trademark clear-framed glasses, Gary Oldman always looks his best when in the public eye.

George Clooney
George Clooney has been nominated for his role in “The Descendants” for the award of “Best Actor in a Leading Role.” The actor is known as being one of the best-dressed in Hollywood, and is sure to look fantastic when he sets out on the red carpet. More often than not, Clooney has been known to rock a tuxedo on the red carpet, complete with black bow tie. With his short-cropped grey hair, Clooney’s appearance is about as sleek and sophisticated as it gets in Hollywood. He knows how to pull of an elegant black tie attire look like few others. Even James Bond himself would get jealous.

Jonah Hill
Jonah Hill is one of Hollywood’s most prominent weight-loss success stories, and has turned into quite the fashionable guy over the course of just the past two years. Hill has received a nomination for “Best Actor in a Supporting Role” for his part alongside Brad Pitt in “Moneyball,” and is sure to turn heads at the Oscars this year. Expect Hill to be wearing a navy blue suit with a thick black tie; his signature look at award shows in recent years.

Jean Dujardin
Jean Dujardin’s role in “The Artist” has been talked about at length ever since the film first come out, and many people expect him to win the award for “Best Actor in a Leading Role.” Dujardin takes French fashion and sophistication to the next level, and is very often seen wearing a tailcoat jacket with a white pique bow tie (aka White Tie Attire); something that most guys simply can’t pull off. Expect plenty of attention to be paid to the actor this Oscar night, as he may have a very big night ahead of him.
