Worst Dressed Male CEOs

The Five Worst Dressed Tech CEOs

Technology is one of the fastest moving industries, rife with both creativity and a great deal of financial capital. With modern technology affecting so many people’s lives more intimately than ever before, CEOs in the tech industry have become veritable celebrities in their own right. While some of Silicon Valley’s must well-known men certainly dress to impress, others simply miss the mark. Whether they’re trying too hard or don’t put an ounce of effort into their look, these men do nothing to further the fashion-forward mindset that has begun to make it’s way into the industry as of late. The following are five of the worst dressed tech CEOs, all of whom could benefit from taking a step back and reevaluating their appearance. We even thought about donating a fee ties to them.

ben-huh-style-fashion1. Ben Huh (ICanHasCheezburger.com)
The popularity of ICanHasCheezburger.com has practically exploded over the course of the past few years, much adieu to the efforts of CEO Ben Huh. Huh’s style, however, leaves a lot to be desired. Known for loud spectacles, kitschy graphic tees and not much else, Huh often look as if he just rolled out of bed. While some might be able to pull this off, it certainly isn’t a look that’s worth emulating. Our style tip for Mr Huh: trendy sports coats and plaid patterned shirts.

stringer-bad-fashion-sense2. Howard Stringer (Sony Corp.)
For a man who is the CEO of one of the largest corporations in the world, you’d think Howard Stringer would put a bit more effort into his appearance. Be it at a press conference or public event, Stringer’s penchant for t-shirts and outdoorsy vests often makes him look like he just returned home from a fishing trip and didn’t have time to change. The man may be rich, but you’d never know it by the way he dresses. Our recommendation: vertically striped dress shirts that will make him look thinner and taller, elegant tweed blazers or sports coats, traditional British striped ties, and brogue oxford dress shoes.o r tasseled loafers.

dennis-crowley-fashion3. Dennis Crowley (Foursquare)
Foursquare has made some waves amongst social media aficionados, most of which surely have nothing to do with the way Dennis Crowley dresses for work. Crowley’s appearance often evokes that of a college dropout, emphasized by hooded sweatshirts, wrinkled jeans and running shoes. While casual dress can be attractive, Crowley has surely missed the mark with the way he puts himself together. Our style advice for Mr Crowley: anything but hooded sweaters and maybe a new haircut too.

bill-gates-fashion4. Bill Gates (Microsoft)
Bill Gates is well known for being one of the richest men in the world, yet could truly benefit from putting some of his money towards hiring a stylist. V-neck sweaters and unpressed khakis are staples of Gates’ wardrobe, taking the place of the high-quality Italian suits that most people in his financial situation would likely wear each day. Gates may be a technology giant, but his appearance is doing nothing to help Microsoft along. Our wardrobe upgrade suggestion: classic suits and sports coats – Brooks Brothers style…

mark-zuckerberg-fashion5. Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook)
Mark Zuckerberg’s rise to fame has made him one of the richest young people in the world, and yet it seems as if he still can’t figure out what to wear each day. Zuckerberg will just as quickly show up to press conferences in a t-shirt as he will a blazer and faded jeans, striving to maintain the preppy college image that made his social media network so famous. While Facebook may have taken over the world, Zuckerberg’s style surely has not. Our style tips for Mr Facebook: slim fitting European cut suits with pin striping pattern, colorful socks, and some fine Italian footwear. ~ by Erik Neilson
